A bantamweight brawl has been added to UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar as Timur Valiev faces Mark Striegl.

Valiev (16-2-0) will make his UFC debut on the strength of a six-fight winning streak. Valiev won eight of nine in the WSOF/PFL with notable wins coming over Ed West, Chris Gutierrez, Josenaldo Silva and Bekbulat Magomedov. Valiev has picked up 16 wins as a professional MMA fighter. Nine of them came by way of decision.
Striegl (18-2-0-1NC) is making his UFC debut in this fight. He has won four of his last six bouts. Striegl is going to be competing for the first time in over 16 months. His last bout came at URCC 77 in April of 2019. Striegl has competed 21 times as a professional MMA fighter and 16 of those contests ended by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night: Munhoz vs. Edgar takes place on Saturday, August 22 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pedro Munhoz vs. Frankie Edgar headlines the card. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
