There has been a late addition to this weekends Bellator 216 card according to MMA Junkie as Tyrell Fortune is going to be in action against Ryan Pokryfky in a heavyweight division affair.
Fortune (5-0-0) has spent his entire professional MMA career in Bellator MMA, last defeating Giovanni Sarran by second round TKO at Bellator 201. Pokryfky has competed five times as a professional MMA fighter and only two of his bouts have gone the distance. Pokryfky has averaged two fights a year in the last two years, but this bout is going to be his first MMA contest of 2019.
Pokryfky (5-4-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak and he hasn’t competed in almost two years. Pokryfky is also making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout, despite not picking up a victory in over three years. Pokryfky has fought several big show vets before, including Allen Crowder, Arjan Singh Bhullar and Jeff Hughes.
Bellator 216 takes place on Saturday, February 16 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Paul Daley and Michael Page headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
