While the UFC Vegas 8 main card streamed exclusively on ESPN+, a six fight preliminary card first aired live on ESPN.
The card, which featured Impa Kasanganay defeating Maki Pitolo in the featured spot, drew 564,000 viewers and a .19 rating according to MMA Fighting. Other bouts on the preliminary card saw Mallory Martin defeat Hannah Cifers, Alex Caceres defeat Austin Springer, Zak Cummings defeat Alessio Di Chirico, Polyana Viana defeat Emily Whitmire and Sean Brady defeat Christian Aguilera.
There was a lot of competition going head to head with the UFC Vegas 8 preliminary card, with the most notable of that being NBA Playoff games. The .19 rating was still very good overall though, as it placed the UFC Vegas 8 preliminary card in the top 15 for the most watched programming this past Saturday Night.
Up next for the UFC is UFC Vegas 9, which is headlined by Alistair Overeem versus Augusto Sakai, which will stream exclusively on ESPN+ this Saturday Night.
