A lightweight division attraction has been added to Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 31 as Victor Martinez faces Tucker Lutz.
Cageside Press first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Martinez (12-4-0) enters the contest riding a six fight winning streak and he hasn’t been defeated in over four years. Martinez won just one of two during his time in Combate Americas, with that lone win coming over Anselmo Luis Luna Jr. by first round TKO at Combate Americas: Tito vs. Alberto. Martinez has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Lutz (8-1-0) will come into the contest riding an eight fight winning streak and he hasn’t been beaten in almost five years. Lutz has spent the majority of his professional MMA career competing in the Shogun Fights promotion, winning seven of eight bouts there. Lutz also won gold as an amateur MMA fighter, as he is a former Stellar Fights Lightweight Champion, winning that title in March of 2014.
Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 31 takes place on Tuesday, September 1 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
