Bellator MMA is making their debut in the state of Hawaii this coming December and a women’s flyweight title bout between champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Valerie Letourneau will headline the event according to Rob DeMello of KHON 2.
Macfarlane (8-0-0) is going to be making the second defense of her title, last defending it against Alejandra Lara at Bellator 201. Macfarlane won the championship back at Bellator 186, defeating Emily Ducote by fifth round submission. Macfarlane is still undefeated as a professional MMA fighter and that streak has already lasted over three years.
Letourneau (10-6-0) is currently undefeated under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated the duo of Kate Jackson and Kristina Williams. Letourneau went 3-3-0 during her time in the UFC, but was let go from the promotion while riding a three bout losing streak. Letourneau has previously challenged for the UFC Women’s Strawweight Title, losing to then champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 193.
On the card as well is a middleweight division contest according to ESPN as former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Lyoto Machida makes his promtional debut against former Bellator Middleweight Champion Rafael Carvalho.
Rounding out the recently announced bouts is a Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix opening round bout as Ed Ruth takes on Neiman Gracie according to MMA Junkie.
Bellator 211 takes place on Saturday, November 15 from the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii with Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Valerie Letourneau headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
