A lightweight division attraction has been announced for Bellator MMA Europe 2 by the Bellator Twitter page as Ryan Scope is going to be in action against Derek Campos.
Scope (10-2-0) is winless thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, dropping a decision to Patricky Freire in the main event of Bellator MMA Europe 1. Scope is a former BAMMA Lightweight Champion, defeating UFC veteran Mickael Lebout to win the gold at BAMMA 33. Scope hasn’t picked up a victory in well over a year, with his last win coming back in December of 2017.
Campos (19-8-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Patricky Freire and Sam Sicilia. Campos hasn’t earned a victory in nearly two years, with that last win coming at Bellator 181 in July of 2017. Campos has seen eleven of his professional MMA bouts go the distance, with the fighter winning eight of those encounters.
Bellator MMA Europe 2 takes place on Saturday, May 4 from the Resort World Arena in Birmingham, England with Brent Primus and Tim Wilde headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on the Bellator app.
