Sage Northcutt Open To Signing With One Championship

MMA

Sage Northcutt was last seen in action at UFC Fight Night Boise, defeating Zak Ottow by second round knockout in what was the final bout in Northcutt’s UFC contract.

The free agent recently appeared at One Championship: Heart Of A Lion this past Friday and said the following to Fox Sports Asia about potentially signing with One Championship:

Dark Side Of The Cage To Premiere In January, Will Cover Ronda Rousey, Matt Hughes, Kimbo Slice, More

“You know what, I’m actually in Singapore right now to talk with Mr. Chatri about possibly being a ONE Championship fighter. That’s what I’m talking about, that’d be cool.”

Northcutt holds a 6-2-0 record in the UFC (11-2-0 overall), with those victories coming over Francisco Trevino, Cody Pfister, Enrique Marin, Michel Quinones, Thibault Gouti and the aforementioned Ottow. The fighter was signed to the UFC after appearing on Dana White’s Lookin’ For A Fight and has been with the promotion ever since.

If the fighter does choose to sign with One Championship, it would be the latest in a big series of signings for the promotion. As One Championship recently came to deals with former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez, former UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson (via trade) and former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate (who will serve as One Championships Vice President).
