January 15's UFC Fight Night 103 just got a huge shot in the arm. The show has added three fights, including two top 15 battles.
#6-ranked bantamweight Bryan Caraway will take on #4-ranked Jimmie Rivera on the show. Caraway (21-8) has won four of his last five fights, including wins over Aljamain Sterling, Eddie Wineland and Erik Perez. Rivera is fresh off of a big victory over Urijah Faber earlier this year.
#4 Flyweight Jussier Formiga could be in line for a title shot if he gains a victory over #14 Sergio Pettis on the card. With champion Demetrious Johnson running out of contenders, Formiga (19-4) looks to improve on an impressive tear that has seen him win four of his last five. Formiga has struggled against top fighters in the division, losing to Henry Cejudo, Joseph Benavidez and John Dodson. Sergio (14-2), the brother of Anthony Pettis, has also won four of his last five fights.
Also added to the show is Joe Lauzon (26-12) taking on Marcin Held (22-5)
UFC Fight Night 103 takes place January 15 at Phoenix’s Talking Stick Resort Arena with Yair Rodriguez and BJ Penn headlining.
