A lightweight division attraction is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night: Pittsburgh card as Gregor Gillespie is going to be in action against Jason Gonzalez.
Gillespie (9-0-0) has already competed twice under the UFC banner, having defeated the duo of Glaico Franca and Andrew Holbrook. Gillespie is also a longtime veteran of the Ring Of Combat promotion, where he defeated Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contenders Series veteran Sidney Outlaw. Gillespie has only seen two of his nine professional MMA fights go the distance, with one of those fights coming in the UFC and the other coming in ROC.
Gonzalez (11-3-0) has won just one of two fights in UFC competition, defeating JC Cottrell and suffering a defeat to Drew Dober. Gonzalez has yet to see any of his professional MMA fights go the distance and only two of those fights made it past the opening round. Gonzalez also competed in the Gladiator Challenge promotion, winning all four fights he competed at in the organization.
UFC Fight Night: Pittsburgh takes place on Saturday, September 16 from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Luke Rockhold and David Branch headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
