While UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping is expected to headline UFC 204, another big fight in the division is going to take place with Vitor Belfort and Gegard Mousasi clashing against one another at the event.
UFC has yet to formally announce the fight, which is expected to take place in Manchester, England, on Oct. 8 at the Manchester Arena. MMAFighting confirmed an initial July 26 report by Combate. So far, no other fights have been announced for the card.
Mousasi (39-6-2) enters the bout coming off wins over Thales Leites and Thiago Santos. He is a former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion and has won four of his past five fights and has been competing in the UFC since 2013.
Belfort (25-12) returned to the UFC back in 2009. This is his third run with the company, having started out with them in 1997-1998 and then from 2002-2005. "The Phenom," who suffered a first-round TKO defeat to Ronaldo Souza in May at UFC 198, was 7-3 in his past 10 going into the fight, with all of his wins coming by knockout or submission.
