After the fight, AlHassan apologized to the crowd and said that wasn't how he wanted to win. He would also speak to Fightful.com cameras following the bout about his impression on Africa and MMA

"I'm an African guy. Kamaru (Usman) is my brother, he's been going up to the world and putting Africa on the map and showing we were meant to do this. We have those fighting instincts inside us, we want to take everyone's heads off. I want to fight more often because the more time you take off the more you feel like you're rusty," said AlHassan before saying he wants "coke" after the fight (not cocaine, which he humorously specified).
