Cody Rhodes' post-WWE run continues, and he may be making a stop in TNA
According to the Wrestling Observer, Cody Rhodes told Dave Meltzer that he plans on working for TNA and Ring of Honor, although he said that he's not signing a contract with either. According to Meltzer, Rhodes says that a deal is in place to work a few matches in TNA.
It was said that Rhodes would be working with Mike Bennett in TNA, where there is also a possibility that Cody's wife Brandi could be brought in for an angle with Maria. Brandi has been training since her WWE departure. Bennett was one of many names on Cody Rhodes' 'post-WWE checklist,' which created buzz in the wrestling world.
The Observer also reported that Rhodes has dates set with New Japan Pro Wrestling, including a match with Katsuyori Shibata -- another name on the aforementioned list.. This follows appearances for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Evolve, allowing Rhodes to work with the likes of Kurt Angle, Chris Hero, Zack Sabre Jr, Marty Scurll, Sami Callahan and several others.
