According to a report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, when Matt and Jeff Hardy jumped from IMPACT Wrestling to WWE, they tried to get their top creative collaborator to come with them, but to no avail.
Jeremy Borash was a major influence in the writing and producing of all of the very popular Hardy Compound segments including the Final Deletion, which you can watch above, Delete or Decay, and Total Nonstop Deletion. The Hardys knew he would be a great help in getting the "Broken" gimmick over with a WWE audience, and asked him to leave IMPACT and sign with WWE.
However, with his on-camera role as the lead play-by-play announcer with IMPACT as well as other commitments based in Orlando, such as acting as the MC for Chef Robert Irvine Live Shows and Jim Ross Events, he ultimately decided to stay.
Borash currently involved in a feud with heel commentator Josh Matthews.
