In the Forbes.com yearly review of the world's highest paid actors, part-time WWE star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was named the world's highest paid actor raking in $64.5 million between June 2015 and June 2016.
"The Rock" knocked out Robert Downey, Jr, who had been the top earner the last three years and dropped down to No. 9 making $33 million. The former WWE champion discussed the honor on his Twitter page.

Jackie Chan came in at No. 2 making $61 million and Matt Damon was No. 3 with $55 million.
The majority of the money Johnson made came from his roles in the “Fast & Furious” franchise, the movie “San Andreas,” and the HBO series “Ballers,” as well as upfront fees for “Fast 8” and the “Baywatch” movie which come out in 2017.
Last year, "The Rock" made $31 million.
Johnson earned $19.5 million more than the top paid female actress, Jennifer Lawrence. “The Hunger Games” star topped Forbes’ highest-paid actresses list on Tuesday with $46 million, 72% of Johnson’s income.

It is unknown on when "The Rock" will appear next on WWE television. He last appeared at Wrestlemania 32 in April in a segment with The Wyatt Family in where he beat Erick Rowan in a six-second match. Then John Cena made a surprise appearance at the end of the segment to help out his counterpart who he wrestled in the Wrestlemania 28 and 29 main events.
