Seth Rollins And Dean Ambrose Become Raw Tag Team Champions

We are now 5 for 5 on title changes at WWE Summerslam because the reunited Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins defeated Sheamus & Cesaro to become the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions.

This is the second time tag team gold has changed hands at the event, because The Uso’s defeated The New Day on the pre-show to win the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions.

Ryan Cook is providing live coverage of the event and here are the end of the match highlights:

Dean and Seth double team Cesaro for a quick two count before Dean is dropped in midair with a European uppercut for a near fall after sends Seth out of the ring. Dean and Cesaro exchange strikes before they double team Sheamus for a near fall that Cesaro breaks up. Sheamus tries to fight off both Seth and Dean, but to no avail before Cesaro sends Seth out of the ring. Dean goes for Dirty Deeds, but Cesaro counters into a swing before transitioning into a sharpshooter before Sheamus hits a rolling senton to Seth at ringside as Cesaro transitions into a cross face. Dean manages to get out of it before Sheamus and Cesaro hit a double team move for a very close near fall. Seth breaks up another pin attempt before he's sent back out of the ring and Cesaro and Sheamus just opt to beat on Dean. Sheamus goes for White Noise, but Seth hits a frankensteiner that sends Cesaro into him before Seth picks up the pin and the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose via pinfall

Rollins and Ambrose are holding tag gold for the first time together in the WWE, but Rollins did hold the tag belts with Roman Reigns when The Shield was together.

Other title changes tonight saw Neville win the WWE Cruiserweight Title, The Uso’s win the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Titles, Natalya win the WWE Smackdown Women’s Title & Sasha Banks win the WWE Raw Women’s Title.

You will hear more about this later on the WWE Summerslam post-show podcast, which features Sean Ross Sapp, Alex Pawlowski and the creator of “Most Ridiculous” Anna Bauert.
