Stephen Thompson & Colby Covington Both Challenge Rafael Dos Anjos, Who’d Rather Wait For Title Shot

Former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos earned a unanimous decision win over former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler in the main event of UFC On Fox 26.

Now that the former lightweight champion has another huge win under his belt, a few of the division's elite have issued a challenge to him.

The first came from Stephen Thompson, who used Twitter to say he would like to fight Dos Anjos this March.

Another challenge came from Colby Covington, who has shown a hatred of the Brazilian people, of which Dos Anjos is one of.

Covington also took to Twitter to both challenge Dos Anjos and take another shot at the Brazilian people.

Dos Anjos doesn’t seem too interested in about with either fight at the moment and has instead set his sights on UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley.

“I think when (Woodley) fought Demian (Maia), he was worried about takedowns only,” Dos Anjos said after the event. “When he fought (Stephen) ‘Wonderboy’ (Thompson), he was worried only about stand-up. I think with me, he’s got to worry about everywhere. He’s going to have a lot of things to worry about. I had to tell him face to face – I’m not interested in his Gucci belt,” dos Anjos said. “I want the UFC belt. I’m just on my way to a second belt.”

It may be a little bit of a wait before Dos Anjos gets a potential title shot because the champion is preparing to undergo shoulder surgery soon.
