Adam Cole: No One Told Me, 'We Want To Bring You To WWE Raw Or WWE SmackDown As A Manager'

Adam Cole departed WWE in 2021 after being the face of NXT since his debut in 2017.

At the time of his departure, there were reports that Cole was going to be brought up to WWE Raw or WWE SmackDown as a manager.

Speaking to James Stewart on Stick To Wrestling, Cole was asked about the report that he would be a manager on the main roster.

"I truly do mean this. Pro wrestling is wild and I know there are discussions that go that not all of us hear about. No one ever personally told me, 'Hey, we want to bring you to Raw or SmackDown to be a manager.' I'm not saying that was never discussed amongst people without my knowledge. I certainly think it's possible, but as far as them bringing me into a room and saying, 'We want to keep you, but we want to use you as a manager,' I never had that discussion," said Cole.

Cole's final match in WWE took place at NXT TakeOver 36 when he lost to Kyle O'Reilly. He joined AEW at AEW All Out 2021.

Elsewhere during the interview, Cole commented on potential plans to win the AEW World Title before he was injured at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam 2023. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
