Adam Copeland wants to have as many experiences as possible in AEW.
At AEW WrestleDream, Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge, made his AEW debut. Since then, he has been locked in a feud with his former tag team partner, AEW TNT Champion Christiam Cage. At AEW Full Gear, Copeland, Sting, and Darby Allin will face Cage, Luchasaurus, and Nick Wayne. The match showcases the way that Copeland is getting to work with people he had never shared the ring with prior to his arrival in AEW.
Speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Copeland was asked to describe how he'd like to see his AEW run play out, and he was asked to name his ultimate goal.
"I honestly don’t know if I have that mapped out, and I’d like to [laughs]," Copeland said.
When asked if it was about having as many experiences as possible, Copeland agreed, and he stated that he wants to work as as much different talent as he can. He made it clear that there are so many possibilities, and that excites him. Copeland also made it cear that this run is about getting to work with new opponents while he has a lot of freedom.
"I think that’s kind of where I’m at. It’s really just get in there with as much different talent as I can and experience what all of different talents bring to the table and what I can bring to them. I don’t know, that’s just exciting. Filming that with Darby and then getting to team with Sting and Darby and working already just brand-new opponents that I’ve never touched before, and maybe the Dome and Arena Mexico, and yeah, getting in there with Omega sounds really fun. Who knows? Maybe we do a show in Maple Leaf Gardens, the old Maple Leaf Gardens? Yeah, that sounds pretty damn cool. There’s a lot of things that could be really, really fun, and I think more than anything, that’s all this is. I’m getting to have one hell of a time getting to do the only thing I ever wanted to do with a lot of freedom at the tail end of my career, with an entire new set of opponents," Copeland said.
