Control Your Narrative is coming to Dallas for WrestleMania weekend, but according to Adam Scherr, another company tried to prevent it.
Taking to Instagram to promote the show, Scherr invited fans to check out Control Your Narrative on March 31 at Gilley's in Dallas.
"This will be the only place to be 3/31 ( unless you wanna watch a bunch or dorks choreograph dance with each other for no reason at all cause we don’t do that garbage in the Narrative cause we actually fight)." he wrote.
Another user on Instagram replied, "I hope u succeed and I hope that in that cap u didn't take any shots at WWE. After all that u said about them over the years and how great and spectacular they are, it would be a huge let down to see u crapping on them now that you're not there anymore. Best wishes to u --"
Scherr responded by saying a promotion that wasn't WWE tried to get the venue to not run the show.
"@diogo.mmendonca definitely not taking about wwe. But there’s is another three letter brand running a show close by that is so afraid of what we are doing that they tried getting the venue to not let’s us run our show. Pretty crazy how scared the industry is of a bunch of so called nobody’s lol," he wrote.
Speaking on Fightful Select, EC3 revealed that it was MLW who contacted the venue.
"[MLW] did try to get us canceled out of the venue because we're running at the exact same time as them," he said. "Control Your Narrative will take place....right next door to MLW, who tried to have us kicked out of the building."
Control Your Narrative ran its first event on March 5 from Orlando.
