Despite the faction allegiances among the competitors in this match, it was every man for himself in the ROH world championship match at AEW Full Gear. Initially, Chris Jericho assumed he had an easy victory going into his match at Full Gear but Sammy Guevara proved that he was his own man as he even tried to fight Chris Jericho throughout this match.
In the end, it was a flying Judas Effect, followed by a regular Judas Effect, landing on Claudio Castagnoli that secured the title for Chris Jericho for one more night.
