New trademarks for AEW and Cody.
AEW has applied to trademark "All Elite Wrestling Blood and Guts." The trademark was applied for on Nov. 13 and is listed under goods and services. The trademark covers clothing, action figures, video games, posters, live video streaming, entertainment services, and much more. "Blood and Guts" was a term used by Vince McMahon during the WWE second quarter 2019 earnings call when he said, "We're not gonna do blood and guts, such as being done on perhaps a new potential competitor" in reference to AEW. In other trademark news, Cody applied to trademark "The Match Beyond" on Nov. 13. The trademark is under goods and services which includes clothing and "Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests."
"The Match Beyond" is another term for WarGames, which was created by Cody's father, Dusty. WWE owns the trademark "WarGames" and will hold its annual NXT TakeOver: WarGames event this Saturday, Nov. 23.
