In December 2023, AJ Francis announced that he would be involved with Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, as Cheez-It signed him to represent the MVP Title.
On December 16, AJ Francis took to Twitter/X to announce that he would again be the Cheez-It Champion at the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida, on December 31. This year, the Illinois Fighting Illini will face the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Before he ventured into the wrestling world, AJ Francis played college football at Maryland. He spent several seasons in the NFL and was a member of the Miami Dolphins, the New England Patriots, the Seattle Seahawks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins, and New York Giants at different points.
Francis had a prominent run in TNA throughout 2024, as he won the TNA Digital Media Championship. He unsuccessfully challenged Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship at TNA Final Resolution.
