Alex Riley Returning To The Ring, Teaming With Tyrus At Holiday Toy Drive 2022

Alex Riley is returning to the ring.

Riley was previously featured in WWE for several years. In 2010, he was The Miz's rookie on the second season of NXT. Riley then moved to Raw as The Miz's protégé and often interfered in his matches. During this run, Riley faced several top stars, including John Cena. He later turned on The Miz and had a singles run. Riley had surgery in 2012 and made some appearances on TV before he transitioned into a commentary role. He continued to compete at house shows, and he also wrestled on NXT. Riley continued to perform on NXT, and he also participated in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 31.

Riley had surgery again in May 2015, and he returned the following January. He wrestled a few more matches on TV before he was released on May 6, 2016. He announced that he was planning to return to the ring in 2019, but it never came to fruition.

Now, Riley will wrestle again. Create A Pro has announced that he will team up with Tyrus to face VBU (Jack Tomlinson and Dante Drago) at the Holiday Toy Drive 2022 event in Lynbrook, New York, on December 8. Fans must donate two new wrestling toys in order to enter the show.

Tyrus currently holds the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship; he won the title in a three-way match at NWA Hard Times 3 on November 12.
