Alex Shelley comments on his injury.
IMPACT World Champion Alex Shelley has not wrestled since the IMPACT UK Invasion show on October 26. He was scheduled to wrestle at IMPACT Turning Point on October 27. Shelley missed the event due to an "extremely pulled muscle in his calf," and he did not compete for the rest of the tour. Prestige Wrestling then announced that he was not cleared to compete at Prestige Alive! on November 12.
Shelley took to social media and commented on his injury. He apologized to GCW and Wrestling REVOLVER for having to cancel his scheduled dates. Shelley also stated that he would wrestle if he could. He wrote that he will be okay, and he stated that he is still able to train.
It’s not much - I let @IMPACTWRESTLING handle big things. I just wanted to apologize to @GCWrestling_ and @PWRevolver fans for being advertised and having to cancel. I love both companies dearly and their fan bases, and if I could wrestle, I would.

Train what you can train, fix what you can fix. Acute phase healing is painful, tissue remodeling takes time. I’m fortunate to be able to train (haven’t missed a workout yet) and I’ll be okay. Now I’ve more time for my coaching business! [email protected], cheap plug.

In another post, Shelley noted that fans can check out his title match against Jonathan Gresham on the November 9 episode of IMPACT on AXS, and he highlighted the physicality of the bout.
As of this writing, there is no word on when Shelley will return to the ring. Fightful will monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
