Anthony Bowens says AEW Full Gear will be a redemption day.
At AEW Full Gear, a fatal four way tag team championship bout will take place as Private Party put their newly won championships on the line vs The House Of Black, The Outrunners and The Acclaimed.
While speaking on a recent episode of ROAR Around The Ring, Anthony Bowens was asked about returning to his home town of New Jersey for AEW Full Gear 2024, with Bowens noting that it is a bit of a redemption day.
"It's exciting. I mean, I haven't had that kind of match in New Jersey since 2022 when we wrestled Keith Lee and Swerve. The last time we were in New Jersey, it was kind of dramatic because Billy thought about retiring and took off his boots and he left them in the ring. So it's a bit of a redemption day getting back to Full Gear in New Jersey, and also we've got the tag team titles on the line. Max and I have been trying to win the titles for a second time, to continue making The Acclaimed one of the best tag teams to ever do. So it's a big special night. I got friends, I got family that's going to be there. So I'm excited."
Elsewhere in another interview, Bowens admitted he was scared to talk to Billy Gunn when he first came to AEW. You can read more about that here.
