Anthony Henry is finished with EVOLVE Wrestling.
Henry took to Periscope to announce that he will no longer be wrestling with EVOLVE. He was hoping to sign a two-year deal with the promotion and had the ultimate goal of WWE/NXT in mind, but things didn't work out between the two parties.
Henry said, "I will no longer, as of now, be wrestling for EVOLVE. I will just say that, we came to an impasse during some negotiations and it's just not going to work out. For me, for them, for either of us. I'm sure a lot of people probably heard that I recently did the WWE tryout. I will just say that, we both wanted to re-sign me to a two-year deal. Obviously, with the connection to WWE and NXT, the opportunity was there for that. However, I'm 36-years-old, there's pretty much already a waiting list to get on the NXT roster. I don't have two years in me. I don't have that time to spend. I don't have it anymore. I've got to get moving."
Henry had nothing but nice things to say about EVOLVE and his time in the promotion. He first wrestled for the promotion in October 2015. He stated that he is unsure of what is next in his future, but he stated that he now has some open dates on his schedule and is looking to fill them.
