Apollo Crews has formally introduced his new bodyguard.
At WrestleMania 37, Apollo defeated Big E in a Nigerian Drum Fight to win the Intercontinental Championship after months of failed attempts. He didn't do it alone, however, as Dabba Kato stormed the ring and attacked the longtime New Day member. On that night, commentary did not use any name when referencing him.
The last time fans had seen Dabba Kato, he was Shane McMahon’s personal heavy on Raw Underground. He would lose a fight to Braun Strowman shortly before the fight club concept came to an end.
On the April 16 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Apollo formally introduced the world to his commander, Azeez, a former member of the Nigerian Elite Guard. Crews warns that if anyone tries to come for his Intercontinental Championship, they will be annihilated by the Nigerian Nail.
Big E was offered a rematch by Crews but is not at the ThunderDome tonight.
