Arn Anderson provides an update on Barry Windham following his recent heart attack.
In December 2022, Barry Windham suffered a heart attack while traveling through the Atlanta airport.
On the most recent episode of the ARN podcast, Arn Anderson provided an update on his former Four Horsemen stablemate, saying that he had heard from a third party that Barry was doing better. While he isn't up to traveling just yet, he will hopefully be up to doing so in the near future.
"Getting it third party that he is is making his way back slowly. He's hopefully going to be much, much better as time goes by. It was a really, really bad scare. I know that it scared the shit out of all of us as soon as we heard it. It was a very, very close call. I think he's getting a little bit better along. I don't think he's in a position [where] he can travel or anything like that yet," he said.
Continuing on, Double A thanked fans for their thoughts and prayers, saying the Windham family is very appreciative of it
"A lot of thought has went into Barry Windham and his condition, you know, a lot of prayers, and we appreciate that coming from everybody. I know the family does. Hopefully, Barry will be up and around before we know it," he added.
Barry Windham's niece, Mika Rotunda, provided an update on December 9, 2022, saying that Barry Windham was stabilized and out of the Intensive Care Unit.
During his recovery, a GoFundMe had been set up for Windham by Mika. Thus far, over $50,000 has been donated.
Barry Windham was a former NWA United States Champion, Tag Team Champion, and World Heavyweight Champion during his career. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012 alongside Arn Anderson and the rest of the Four Horsemen.
Fightful wishes Windham and his family all the best as he recovers.
