Athena and Willow Nightingale make history.
Athena threw everything she had at Willow, including Obliteration and the O-Face, which Willow kicked out of. Willow hit the babe with the bomb, but Athena was able to kick out.
In the end, Athena hit another O-Face and then locked Willow in a crossface. Willow fought as best she could, but eventually passed out and the referee was forced to ring the bell, giving Athena the victory.
After the bout, Athena raised Willow's hand as a sign of respect.

Athena won the title at ROH Final Battle 2022 by defeating Mercedes Martinez. She has now made twelve successful title defenses.
