Athena isn't very happy with Billie Starkz.
After being mistreated by Athena for the vast majority of 2023, Billie Starkz finally stood up for herself on the November 30 episode of ROH TV, as she washed herself of her status as a minion and attacked Athena.
At ROH's Final Battle, Starkz will compete in the biggest match of her career, as she'll face Athena for the ROH Women's World Championship. The bout will headline the pay-per-view.
While speaking to the Under The Ring podcast for a recent interview, Athena said that Starkz is a rebellious teenager that just doesn't understand the hard struggles of the real world.
“Chaos has ensued. I feel like I’ve given Billie the world and she’s just not grateful. She’s that rebellious teenager that doesn’t understand that this is how real life works. She’s still in that, hey I’m an adult, it’s sunshine, rainbows, and happiness, that type of thing. I’m sitting here like, no this is the real world, this is how this happens. She has turned on me and going into Final Battle, it’s not about me reclaiming my championship, it’s about me teaching Billie a lesson that she rightfully deserves.”
