Atsushi Onita's status for WrestleMania weekend could be in doubt.
The deathmatch legend underwent successful double knee surgery on Feb. 21 after being told he could be wheelchair bound for the rest of his life had he not had the surgery.
Twitter user @STRIGGA reports that Onita was told that it would be four months for him to walk normally again. Onita reportedly stated he would still attend WrestleMania weekend on Apr 4 and 5, but would only be signing autographs.
Onita is advertised to appear at Joey Janela's Spring Break III on Apr. 5. He was the first name announced for the event, though no opponent was given.
