Baron Corbin: SmackDown Live star, Former Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner, and now Mr. Money in the Bank.
Corbin won the Money in the Bank ladder match at the SmackDown-exclusive Money in the Bank show to close out the event. Corbin made his presence known even before the match started, attacking Shinsuke Nakamura as he was making his entrance down the ring, essentially taking Nakamura out for the majority of the match. Unlike the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, there was no controversy in terms of the match’s finish.
Corbin defeated a who’s who of SmackDown stars of Nakamura, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler, all former world champions or NXT champions. Corbin’s 2017 includes competing for the Intercontinental Championship on the WrestleMania 33 pre-show and now can add Money in the Bank to his resume.
