Bayley says she will reveal her choice on WWE SmackDown.
Bayley made an appearance on the January 29 episode of WWE Raw, just days after winning the 2024 Women's Royal Rumble match. She highlighted the success of Damage CTRL, as the group's success was unprecedented. She noted that she was not on the Royal Rumble poster, but she stood tall as the winner of the Women's Royal Rumble. Bayley then claimed that she was on top, as she had broken Rhea Ripley's record for the longest time spent in the match.
Ripley, the reigning Women's World Champion, then came out. She noted that Bayley only won because she was not in the match. She started to say that Bayley would be wasting her title shot by choosing to face her, but Nia Jax blindsided her. Jax hit Ripley with multiple leg drops and crushed her with the Annihilator. She then told Bayley that she could pick anyone else, but Ripley would not be making it to WrestleMania. Bayley replied by saying she would make her announcement on the February 2 episode of SmackDown.
