Becky Lynch returns to NXT on September 12 to challenge for the one Women's Championship she has yet to win in WWE.
After Tiffany Stratton called Becky Lynch a former WWE NXT Women's Champion, they have been on a collision course. Stratton appeared on WWE Raw on August 28 and at WWE Payback, getting into Becky's face at the pay-per-view. It did not take long for Becky to knock on Tiffany's door and set up a championship match between the two of them.
Lynch appeared on the video wall after Stratton defeated Kiana James on the September 5 episode of WWE NXT to announce that she would be returning to NXT to challenge for the championship she never won in the main event of the September 12 episode.
This will be Becky's first time challenging one-on-one for the NXT Women's Championship on TV since NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable in 2015. Her last championship opportunity came in July 2016 when she challenged Asuka in Japan on a WWE live event.
