Big Bill: Chris Jericho Told Me Bryan Danielson Brought My Name Up At Creative Meeting About The Learning Tree

Big Bill recalls learning that he'd be a part of The Learning Tree.

Big Bill joined forces with Chris Jericho in May, as he helped Jericho beat Katsuyori Shibata to retain the FTW Championship. In doing so, he joined The Learning Tree. Since then, he has been featured alongside Jericho and Bryan Keith, who later joined the group, on AEW programming.

Speaking on Rasslin' with Brandon F. Walker, Big Bill was asked whether Jericho pitched the idea to him, and he described how Jericho called him. He also credited Bryan Danielson with bringing his name up in the meeting.

"He called me, and he pitched it to me, and he said they had a meeting with Tony [Khan], and he has this idea, and I believe they were…in a meeting, and Chris had pitched this idea, and I guess there were quite a few people in there, and Chris told me that Bryan Danielson mentioned my name. They were throwing around names, and the second he said my name, everyone said, ‘That’s it. Boom, that’s the one right there.’ So he called me, and he told me that, and I said, ‘Fuck yeah, let’s do it,'" Bill said.

During the interview, Big Bill said he hoped to see Enzo Amore get another chance in wrestling. Check out his comments here.
