In 2019, NXT got involved in Survivor Series, adding a new element to brand supremacy.
With NXT in the fold, brand world championship matches took place and other bouts at Survivor Series became triple threat matches with NXT fielding their own teams and champions. In the Tag Team Championship showdown, New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston) represented SmackDown while the Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar) represented Raw and Undisputed ERA (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) represented NXT.
Speaking to Robbie Fox on My Mom's Basement, Big E revealed that they wanted to work more with Undisputed ERA, but it never came to fruition.
"We always wanted to do stuff with Undisputed ERA. We even talked about going down to NXT at some point and doing a run with them, that was something we really wanted to do. Those guys are so incredibly hot and had such a great run down there. It was cool. That version of Survivor Series when we involved NXT was cool, unique, and added a different flavor to Survivor Series. We didn't get our faction vs. faction match with Undisputed ERA, but being part of stuff with Viking Raiders and those guys was cool and a unique way to do the match," he said.
The Viking Raiders were victorious in the 2019 Survivor Series triple threat.
While New Day remains strong in 2021, Undisputed ERA fractured at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. Adam Cole and Bobby Fish are now signed to AEW while Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly remain part of NXT.
