Brian Kendrick is on the injured list following an errant GTS from Hideo Itami.
The two had a match on Raw, Itami's first as a singles wrestler. He hit the GTS then pinned him with little fanfare. However, the referee immediately tended to Kendrick after the match, indicating he may have been injured. PWInsider reported earlier this morning that he went to the hospital following the bout.
WWE posted a video this afternoon where Dasha Fuentes gave further details:
She said that Kendrick had fractured his orbital bone as well as his nose after being stricken by the GTS. There is no current timetable on his return, though he seems to be out of action for the time being.
WWE's Senior Ringside Physician Chris Amann spoke on the injury Wednesday afternoon to WWE.com
"During a match between The Brian Kendrick and Hideo Itami, Itami performed the GTS and during that maneuver, Kendrick was struck in the left eye and the inner aspect of the nose," Amann said. "A fracture was suspected, and he was taken to a local emergency care facility in Chicago where a CT scan confirmed a diagnosis of an orbital wall fracture and a minimally displaced nasal bridge fracture."
Since debuting on the main roster, Itami teamed with Finn Balor to defeat Curtis Axel and the Miz. He made his 205 Live debut last week, defeating Colin Delaney.
