Brody King: This Continental Classic Tournament Is Setting The Standard For What Wrestling Is In AEW

Brody King reflects on going 2-0 in the AEW Continental Classic Tournament.

Brody King is the first wrestler in the Blue League of the Continental Classic Tournament to reach six points and go 2-0. King did this through no small feat. He earned victories over Claudio Castagnoli and Eddie Kingston and currently sits at the top of the leaderboard in the tournament for the Collision side of the equation.

After his victory over Claudio Castagnoli on December 2, King briefly talked about how he has been underestimated in this tournament, believing that nobody should be underestimated because this sets the standards for what the future of wrestling in AEW will be measured by.

"2-0. Eddie Kingston and Claudio Castagnoli, and I'm 2-0. You know, the thing I love about this tournament is that we are the group that sets the standard for this tournament for years to come. The first class for the Continental Classic, to set the standard for how professional wrestling should be delivered in AEW from here on out. Coming into this tournament, they said I wasn't a single competitor, that I didn't have the edge up because I'm used to being in trios and tag teams, and now I am 2-0 against two of the toughest people in this company. Don't underestimate me. Don't underestimate anybody in this tournament. Everybody is a threat. Be harder," he said in a digital exclusive.

King does not yet have a third match booked in the tournament.
