Bryan Danielson says his wife, Brie Garcia, suggests sometimes that he loves wrestling too much. Danielson, in turn, just hopes his kids find something they love equally as much.
Bryan Danielson entered the AEW Continental Classic Tournament with a fractured forearm that hasn't healed and a fractured orbital bone. That hasn't stopped him, because Danielson has mental toughness.
On December 9, Bryan Danielson suffered his first loss in the tournament when Andrade El Idolo defeated him on AEW Collision after spending the majority of the match attacking his injured orbital. In a digital exclusive, the interviewer tried to say that this was a tough loss for Danielson.
Danielson, however, says Andrade attacking his injured orbital makes him feel alive. As he has been during his other post-match interviews during the tournament, "The American Dragon" was meditating after the match, sealing in the feeling following his match with Andrade as a doctor was checking on his eye.
"Check my headspace? A tough loss? You know, I've lost a lot in my career, and when you say 'tough,' I don't understand what you're talking about," he said. "Because being out there, having a guy target my fractured orbital bone, that doesn't feel tough to me. That makes me feel alive. So that's when I come back here, I meditate, and I seal it in while he pokes around my eye and he pokes around my eye and you don't even see me flinch!
"My wife sometimes says she thinks I love this too much. Do I love it too much? Do I love it too much? I pray that my daughter and my son find something in their life to do that they love as much as this," he concluded.
