Bryan Danielson Names Green Day's 'Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)' As The Song He'd Like Played At His Funeral

Bryan Danielson gives a serendipitous answer regarding one of Green Day's most popular songs.

During a recent interview with Kerrang, Bryan Danielson named Green Day's 'Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)' one of the songs he would like to play during his funeral. Ironically, AEW just announced that Bryan, whose full-time career as a wrestler is coming to an end, maybe as soon as AEW All In on August 25, will have that song played over a career retrospective video package during the August 14 AEW Dynamite.

While his life isn't coming to an end soon, and he might actually prefer a Kimya Dawson song, he's now suggested that Green Day would be a suitable option.

"That’s really hard. I like Time Of Your Life, that’s not a bad one. If I had more time to think about it, it’d maybe be a Kimya Dawson or a Frank Turner song, but I would really have to think about it. I’d probably have to think about it now in case something happens, right? My wife will be like, ‘Why are we playing Green Day at Bryan’s funeral?’ ‘He said it in an interview!’ (laughs)”

Danielson also described AFI's Miseria Cantare, CM Punk's theme song in ROH, as the perfect entrance song. Learn more here.

Bryan has previously stated that it's getting easier to view his life without wrestling in the very near future. Read his comments here.

Speaking of Kimya Dawson, Danielson was featured on a Dawson song back in 2011 in tribute to Captain Lou Albano. Check that out here.
