Bryan Danielson Says ‘Yes’ Chants Against Kazuchika Okada Were Spur Of The Moment Due To Injury

Bryan Danielson comments on starting a 'Yes' chant at Forbidden Door.

'The American Dragon' started the popular chant during the late stages of his match with Kazuchika Okada at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view. Many fans were surprised by this, as Danielson has rarely prompted the chant throughout his entire run in All Elite Wrestling.

While chatting with the media during the Forbidden Door media scrum, Danielson noted that the decision to start the chant was a spur of the moment one due to his injury.

"Tonight was spur of the moment, only because, I was incapable of doing some of the things that I would have liked to do. I thought, ‘Okay, how do we bring the fans up? Oh, here is an easy solution.’ The Max match was a choice. It was the one time I was going to do it. Tonight was because I needed to do something."

Only weeks after arriving in AEW in September 2021, Danielson explained why he wouldn't be using the chant in the company. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
