Buddy Murphy Defeats Cedric Alexander To Become The New WWE Cruiserweight Champion

Buddy has done it.

The WWE Cruiserweight Championship changed hands today at WWE Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia. Cedric Alexander has been reigning as Cruiserweight Champion since April when he captured the vacant title at WrestleMania 34. In 2018 alone Cedric Alexander has not been pinned by anyone but that all changed today as he clashed in the squared circle with a very familiar foe in Buddy Murphy.

The two stars of the 205 Live brand went one-on-one with the gold on the line and Buddy had his hometown of Melbourne cheering him on from start to finish.

It was a back and forth bout as both men traded their hard strikes and pulled out their best maneuvers but in the end it was Buddy Murphy executing his "Murphy's Law" finishing maneuver to defeat Cedric Alexander for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship in Murphy's home-country of Australia.
