This marks the first reigns as NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Champions for Bullet Club War Dogs. The duo formed at NJPW Dominion, attacking HASHI & Goto after they captured the vacant NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Titles. Bishamon, who are also the reigning IWGP Tag Team Champions, didn't make a successful defense of the Strong Openweight Titles.
