Bully Ray Proposes The Idea Of Paul Heyman Being In Creative Control Of SmackDown On FOX

Bully Ray thinks Paul Heyman can shake things up this coming October.

This Fall, WWE's SmackDown Live brand will move from the USA Network to FOX and SmackDown will also be moving back to Friday nights. As a part of the WWE Superstar Shake-Up, the likes of Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Ember Moon, Kairi Sane, Bayley and Elias have joined the blue-brand and this past Monday on RAW, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon established the 'Wild Card' rule which allows for four superstars from SmackDown to appear on RAW and vice versa.

With five months left go until the SmackDown on FOX era begins, WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray proposed an idea of his own that had to do with Paul Heyman leading the creative charge to make wrestling fans want to tune into to SmackDown on Friday nights and he explained his argument during a recent edition of Busted Open Radio.

“And all this stuff you say is good but from a creative point of view, you know what I would do? Right out of the gate, I’d hand Paul Heyman the pencil and say, ‘Go get em’, because he’s probably the only proven one when it comes to making SmackDown special. I think, just the fact that people know Heyman is back in creative control -- and that’s nothing that the WWE is going to let out and I don’t think that's something that should be announced like, ‘Hey, Paul Heyman is in charge of SmackDown creative’. No, what I’m saying is, that’s what I would do because if there’s one person out there that has a track record of making SmackDown ultra successful and a definitively better show than RAW, it was Paul Heyman -- probably what? In like 2003, 2004? So we know he can get the job done." Bully Ray explained. "We know he’s there. I would put the pencil in his hand and say, ‘What can you do with this?’ Because I think that his creativity with that show and the way he knows how to use characters and gel them with storylines, would work.”
