Triple H: I've Always Believed Bad Guys Have To Be Justified

Most people agree, the best bad guys -- in movies, television and, yes, professional wrestling -- have to believe that they're on the right side of history, that they're the ones doing the right thing.

Triple H, one of WWE's biggest and best bad guys throughout the past twenty five years, believes that in order to be effective heels, bad guys need to be justified.

That's what The Game told Andrew Schulz on The Flagrant. On the subject of villains, Triple H surmised that, no matter how outlandish the reasoning, heels need to at least feel like they're in the right.

"Some of the things we try to do now, a lot of it in our creative, I’ve always believed that bad guys have to be justified. Might be fucked up reasoning, their way of looking at it is really warped, but they gotta be justified. They can’t just do, ‘Why are you doing that?’ ‘Because I’m a bad guy,'" Triple H said.

Many of professional wrestling's best bad guys have believed they were justified in their actions. Most recently, wrestlers like John Cena, Kevin Owens, Gunther and more have been examples of that.

Elsewhere during the interview, Triple H talked about how he doesn't panic if people complain about WWE's stories, because he believes in the payoff. You can view his full comments by clicking here.

While making the media rounds ahead of WrestleMania 41, Triple H talked about the collaboration he shares with people like CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Paul Heyman. You can see what he said about that collaboration here.
