Carmelo Hayes Confirms He Attacked Trick Williams Months Ago During Promo On 2/6 WWE NXT

Carmelo Hayes says it was him all along.

Not only did Carmelo Hayes reveal himself to be a turncoat at NXT Vengeance Day, he also revealed during his promo on February 6 that he attacked Trick Williams backstage back in October, preventing him from receiving a potential championship opportunity at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2023.

Williams had originally been suspicious of his former friend, but Carmelo managed to throw the trail off of himself for long enough to truly plant the knife in Trick's back when he was at his lowest, following a loss to Ilja Dragunov at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.

During his promo, Hayes said that no one should be surprised about his heel turn because he was always this way. He also made fun of Trick Williams being a two-day NXT North American Champion and said that he had to put Williams back in his place.

Melo also faked out the fans by playing Williams' theme song and making it seem like he was coming out for his revenge.

For now, Melo can rest confidently knowing he whooped that Trick, but one has to believe what goes around comes around.
