Chelsea Green explains why she wants the Divas Championship back in WWE.
Over the past few weeks, Green has been lobbying for the return of the butterfly Divas Championship. The title was retired after WrestleMania 32, when the WWE Women's Championship was won by Charlotte Flair.
While speaking to Ring The Belle in an interview prior to WWE Money In The Bank 2024, Chelsea was asked why she was trying to bring back the title with Green noting that it was due to it being a controversial take.
"Well, first of all, because that's the thing. It's a controversial take and everybody's talking. I think that's what people don't understand is, when you tweet about me, you're doing me a favor. You are making me go viral. So that's what's happening."
Green was unsuccessful in winning the Money In The Bank ladder match at the 2024 event, but did draw a lot of praise for her performance in the matchup.
