Chelsea Green: "You Could Not Pay Me To Stay In This Business If I Was Not Doing What I'm Doing"

Chelsea Green isn't sure what her 2022 is going to look like just yet.

Appearing alongside Matt Cardona on PWI Presents: Face Turn with Candace Cordelia, Green was asked about potentially transitioning into backstage or promotional roles in the wrestling business once her in-ring career wraps up, saying that she has no interest in doing anything of the sort.

"Never. Not in a million years. You could not pay me to stay in this business if I was not doing what I'm doing. No way.

I don't have the passion. I did not grow up as a diehard wrestling fan. I love performing, and I didn't know that performing was going to lead me down this route. It could have been friggin musical theatre, like, I don't know. But I ended up in this avenue and this is just where I'm going to stay, but I'm not going to venture outside," she said.

Since being released by WWE earlier this year, Green has made appearances on IMPACT, Ring of Honor, and NWA programming. In terms of what she plans on doing in 2022, the Canadian star says that she is still deciding whether or not she wants to commit to a single promotion. Here are her full remarks:

"For myself, I don't know. I'm trying to decide what route I want to go down; if I want to stay kind of dipping my toes everywhere or if I want to jump in with one company. I'm not really sure, but I do feel like I want to make a decision come 2022."

Up next for Chelsea is IMPACT's Knockouts Knockdown event, where she will be competing in a tournament for the opportunity to earn a Knockouts Championship match. Fightful will have coverage of the event this evening beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
