Chinese Promotion Announces James Ellsworth Pulled From Sunday Event

James Ellsworth's schedule has changed.

Earlier this week, there were reports that James Ellsworth was confirmed to appear at Money in the Bank. On the same day, James Ellsworth tweeted a promotional image for a match he had scheduled in China on Sunday, June 17th which is the day of the Money in Bank event. The promotion called Middle Kingdom Wrestling was still advertising the match on their website and social media.

On Thursday, Middle Kingdom Wrestling announced Ellsworth could not be reached by MKW management for days and he called them recently to inform them he would not be traveling to China. The event is still advertised to have the first intergender match in China.

The announcement came on the MKW Facebook account and can be seen in the tweet below.

Ellsworth appeared on last year's Money in the Bank pay-per-view when he helped Carmella win the first ever Women's Money in the Bank ladder match. Carmella is defending her Smackdown Women's Championship at the event. This year's ladder match includes Becky Lynch with whom James Ellsworth wrestled right before leaving WWE.

Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage of the Money in the Bank pay-per-view and a recapping podcast.
