Chris Jericho thinks fans should start investing in Abadon now because she will be a major player in the AEW women's division in the future.
A lot is made of the current state of AEW’s women's division. many feel as though these women have not been given enough chance to shine on TV and due to the heavy reliance on foreign talent and travel bans because of COVID, the division has faced some setbacks in 2020.
One of the new additions to the division is Abadon. Making her debut on the June 17 episode of AEW Dynamite by defeating Anna Jay, Abadon continues to rack up victories on AEW Dark, and in return, she’s gained a huge supporter in Chris Jericho.
Speaking on his most recent Saturday Night Special Q&A session, Jericho explained why he is such a big fan of Abadon and her gimmick.
“Abadon is this really creepy gimmick and she signed with us and she's going to be a huge, huge force in women's division because this looks like some kind of zombie from Evil Dead combined with Train to Busan, or something like that. So, it's really cool stuff.”
He continued, “So if you have not seen Abadon on AEW Dark, go look for her because she's got a great look and it's really believable. It's really creepy and it's actually really scary and I'm a big fan of hers.”
In the past, Chris Jericho has spoken about being pleasantly surprised by talents such as Tay Conti and he has even said if the division can obtain more talent, he would like to see AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships implemented.
